The movers are coming on Tuesday to pack all of our belongings into a 20 foot container. From there it goes by truck to Worcester, Mass, train to NYC and then to the docks, onto a boat and an eighteen day cruise to some port in Israel where we will hopefully be waiting to pay taxes and sign customs papers.
I am so sick of packing. Box after box. We have finished with all of the major stuff. The breakables wait until moving day. Now it is just the last bits of things that somehow haven’t been packed until now. Except that it seems like these things are all multiplying. Definitely not fun. But the end is in site.

This week promises to be one of the most tiring that I have had in a long long time. Less than 48 hours until the lift goes out. And next weekend my company is releasing some major software that we have been working on for many months. First it was suppossed to go out in April…then June…July…September…October…November and finally December. And we still need more time. But it will go out, and this week will be tiring and stressful from that as well.
But we are actually making aliyah. Twenty three days from lift off at Kennedy Airport. Ought to be interesting…

Hi, I have really been enjoying reading your blog. I am also making aliyah – It’s really nice to read about other people’s experiences and feelings about doing so. I wish you all the best for your … ALIYAH=RISING UP.
