Adina works with a number of children as an Occupational Therapist. All of these children come from a hareidi (what some may call ultra-Orthodox) background. On Monday, one of the children said that he had been scheduled to go on a tiyul (fun outing) with his school that day but it had been cancelled. Why was it cancelled? Because when there are children in the North who have to be in bomb-shelters all day long because of missile attacks from Lebanon, how can children in Yerushalyim be going on tiyulim? In solidarity with the children of the North, the outings in Jerusalem for these children (which are big events that they really look forward to) did not take place.
Now that is some hands-on education for showing solidarity and feeling the pain of ????? ?? ??? ????? – out brothers, from all of the house of Israel – when they are in anguish.
