As reserve soldier activation orders have been announced across the country (tzav shemoneh), now is the time to read this first-person account of a reserve soldier who was called up for emergency duty in 2002, for Operation Defensive Shield. (Hat Tip: Ari Kinsberg).
May our soldiers carry out their missions with success, and return home in peace to their families.

Why is the title to this post “my turn”? Have you also been called up? I’ll read the article for clues…
I have an update: you may recall that I commented about trying to help people from the north to find shelter. There are several free offers of places to stay, just now posted on my blog. I would really appreciate it if you would let people know about it, in the event that they don’t have anywhere safe to go. My blog is: http://www.aliyahonmymind.blogspot.com I’ll leave this comment on a few other blogs as well.
Thanks!

After I posted this one I thought it might be confusing. “My Turn” is the name of the article on the site. I am not being called to milu’im (I am not in the IDF at the moment)
